Here it is finally after all of the threatening, a blog for my DC internship experience. I will be interning in Congressman Walden's office (Oregon 2nd District) starting January 7th.
I started really considering an internship about a year ago and its amazing that it is finally here. The application was submitted in early October and I was offered the internship by mid October. Since then I have spent time hunting for affordable housing in DC and brushing up on our American Government. Brushing up on our government proved far easier than finding housing. Fortunately two fellow Oregonians are living in DC and I will be rooming with them not far from the capitol.
As it sits now I will be headed to DC via Phoenix, AZ on Jan 5th. And then.... LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN!
